이 세상에 공짜는 없다
이 세상에 공짜는 없다는 말은 매우 사실입니다. 인생에서 공짜는 없습니다. 다시 말해 공짜 점심과 같은 것은 없습니다. 우리가 하는 모든 일, 사람들과의 모든 상호 작용, 우리가 내리는 모든 결정에는 비용이 따릅니다.
그것이 돈이든, 시간이든, 에너지이든, 무엇이든 마찬가지 입니다. 공짜는 없습니다. 일부 사람들은 이것을 특권의 문제로 취급하기도 하지만 저는 기회의 문제라고 생각합니다. 많은 사람들이 그것을 감당할 수 있지만 모든 사람들이 그렇게 할 수 있는 것은 아닙니다.
인생에서 얻는 모든 것은 어떤 의미에서든, 즉 돈을 통해서든 일, 노력 또는 헌신과 같은 다른 수단을 통해서든 대가를 지불해야 합니다. 경험상, 당신이 무언가를 공짜로 얻는다면 그것은 어딘가에 숨겨진 비용이 있거나 당신이 얻는 것이 진정한 가치가 없는 것일 가능성이 높습니다.
많은 경우 우리는 무언가가 무료라는 생각에 갇히지만 일반적으로 “공짜”라는 것은 오히려 장기적으로는 비용이 많이 드는 단기적인 솔루션일 뿐입니다.
Nothing is Free in This World
It’s very true. Nothing in life is free, or to put it another way, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Everything we do, every interaction we have with people, and every decision we make has a cost.
Whether it’s money, time, energy, or something else, nothing is free. People treat this as a privilege issue but I think it’s an opportunity issue. Many can afford it but not everyone can.
Everything you get in life must be paid for, in one sense or another, that is, whether through money or some other means (like work, effort, or dedication). In my experience, if you are getting something for free, there is either a hidden cost somewhere or what you are getting has no real value.
Lots of times we get stuck in the idea that something is free, but it is usually just a short-term solution that will cost us in the long run.
